Click here to donate now Donor Bill of Rights Every dollar we raise helps us to improve the quality of life for a child and his or her family. Your gift, no matter what the amount, will be carefully used to buy expensive medicine, medical equipment like specialized helmets and breathing/feeding tubes. The children are often in need of pain relieving therapy, educational aids and special recreation that enables a child to experience a bit of the fun and community spirit that all children need and enjoy. Caregivers requiring respite (a medical professional or institution will provide care for a pre-determined amount of time to give primary caregivers a break from their duties) will also be considered. Our dream is to help everyone who needs us. Requests for assistance far exceed the money we raise, approximately 80 to 100 requests per month at this time. We must give priority to the most urgent cases. A cash gift (cheque or credit card) is the fastest way to help a child in need today but it is not the only choice. Please call Jane Sleep, Executive Director of Jennifer Ashleigh Children's Charity at (905) 852-1799 Ext. 21 for more information on the benefits to you and the JACC kids when you remember us in your will, purchase an insurance policy, make a monthly pledge or other commitment to help a child! The Jennifer Ashleigh Children's Charity is a registered charity, BN 13942 3875 RR0001. A receipt for income tax purposes will be issued.
You can help a family in a practical way…
Since 1990, we have been assisting seriously ill children and their families with
special treatment needs, medical expenses and financial assistance in times of
need. We are a safety net for families by offering hope and practical compassion.
Here are some tangible ways that you can help:
· $1,000.00 can keep a roof over a family’s head for one more month;
· $500.00 can help support a family’s stay in Toronto while their child is in
Sick Kids Hospital;
· $250.00 can help a special needs child go to camp;
· $100.00 can cover a session of speech therapy or another traditional therapy;
· $50.00 can buy baby formula or 3 hours of respite care;
· $75.00 can buy fresh fruits or vegetables to assist in a healthy diet for a child
who has undergone chemotherapy;
Or
· I would like to assist with a donation of $_________ to be directed to where
it is needed most.
On behalf of all of the children and their families, thank you!
